Almost three weeks on

I've been meaning to update this blog for ages but never seem to have the time. Its amazing how much time a new born baby zaps from you! But the significant milestone of this morning has prompted me to get round to writing... I'm back in my old (size 10) jeans!!! I'm so excited, it seems like forever that I've been wearing the same solitary pair of maternity jeans (and about three other outfits) no-one points out to you that you'll still be wearing them after you've given birth!
Enough about me.
Time is just flying by, Elizabeth is three weeks old tomorrow and is an absolute joy. She's a fantastic sleeper (sleeps from about midnight to 8am with only one middle of the night feed!!) and is so gorgeously alert when she's awake. Andy is still off work - he managed to top his 2 weeks paternity leave up with 2 weeks holiday - and we've just been enjoying family life.
We had our weekly visit with the health visitor this morning. Although Elizabeth was slightly slow to put on weight in the first 10 days (lost 8oz) she is now 7lb 10oz (3oz over her birth weigh) and they're really pleased with her progress.
We've also booked our first family holiday: 10 days in Spain at the end of May, can't wait! Our friends have a fantastic apartment in Adelucia with a private garden overlooking the sea and the African coast-line. We've been there twice before and are so excited to be taking Elizabeth with us this time.
More photos to follow soon.
