Remembering Mac

Its been three weeks now since our beautiful cat Mac passed away, but today I was looking through photos and found these memories.

This was about three months ago, Elizabeth was always much more interested in Mac than he was in her!

As for the fish, it was as though Mac thought "what are these gold things doing swimming round in my drinking water?"

We miss him incredibly but he had a happy life, 16 years long, and he certainly had his nine lives. He was originally my brother cat, rescued as a kitten for Pete's 11th birthday. He first lived with us as a family in Northampton and our big garden gave him opportunity to catch and bring through the cat flap - among other things... frogs, mice, a squirrels tail, and a full grown seagull!

When we moved to Market Harborough his mischief grew. Getting stuck on the roof was mild compared to his two week disappearance, finally returning after being stuck in a warehouse, with a poorly tail. The vet had to amputate it explaining that Mac had probably got it trapped and had a chew himself free!
When Pete went off to Uni Mac moved back to his old stomping ground in Northampton with Mum. In 2002 when Andy and I bought our first flat it already had a cat-flap to a world just waiting for Mac to explore and he was delighted to move to the seaside! He was just the most friendly cat, fond of everyone, and the feeling was mutual.

More festival fun

This time it was Greenbelt arts festival in Cheltenham. Andy and I were working for our friends charity CRED setting up and running "The Living Room" cafe. I have to say that it looked fantastic and we attracted a huge amount of interest in CRED and an enormous positive response.

It was fantastic hang out with all our friends who were also there for the weekend.
Bruno found Elizabeth hilarious!

Levi on the other hand was less impressed!

Brooke was an absolutely fantastic hostess, and my honorary daughter for the weekend!

And Zach and Levi (Snr) were brilliant with Elizabeth.
